Irish Soda Bread

This is from the Federal Reserve Cookbook of 1978 by Ada Luconi
- 4 cups flour
- ½ cups sugar
- ¾ cup currants
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups buttermilk
- Mix dry ingredients, add buttermilk.
- Mix to smooth dough, do not over mix.
- Turn on to floured board and knead a little and shape into round loaf or baking pans.
- Bake at 350-degrees for approximately 1 hour.
